Is this supposed to be satire or a major contradiction of terms? I.e. can you be a rag to riches worker –empire building billionaire philanthropic but still be a self-centered, egoistical, moron idiot genius? Well, I guess so if you are Dava or whoever she is meant to mildly portray. (Steve Jobs comes to mind as he denied his first daughter as he became a billionaire philanthropic.) Am I supposed to believe Dava was this dumb but still managed to create her empire without a lick of common sense AND still become a billionaire? Who makes the choices that Dava did in real life? Or even real life in 2044 the setting of this book – gimme a break – this was so preposterous it boarded on fantasy.

This story was boring, groan worthy and at times just mind boggling illogical –hint, I made a ton of the gagging noises and more than my fair share of eyerolling – surprised I didn’t give myself a migraine. I skimmed the rest of the book, torturously. Sandy, just one of the crap characters, is my pick for the worst written AND woeful stereotypical character in the book.

5 stars for the narrator, Soneela Nankani. I am sorry this is in her audio portfolio – she deserves better and kudos to her for putting in the work for this farce of a story. So glad it was a library loan. Bin it back so fast.....
