Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller

4.0

With so many hard things weighing heavy on our hearts in today’s world, Be Kind teaches kids that kindness starts at home, in school, and in your community. Be nice to a friend, say hi to people and use their name if you know it, take care of your pets, or teach someone something new. I especially loved the picture of the girl taking care of Otis, the class guinea pig because it reminded me of my daughter’s class turtle that we are caring for this summer and he is adorable when he gets sweet potato all over his face. I also love where the author Pat Zietlow Miller writes “Maybe I can only do small things. But my small things might join small things other people do. And, together, they could grow into something big.” How do you teach your kids to be kind?
