Capture the Crown
by Jennifer Estep
Fantastic and brutal.
The story was very enjoyable, as well as the political intrigue and plots. Sometimes during spy missions characters would sit and monologue about their entire plan, which felt really silly, but that is about the only complaint I have.
One thing I don't quite understand is why Leo doesn't seem to mind that Gemma has a horrible opinion of him. Like, I get the impression that he's trying to change her mind through action, maybe? But when others actions force him to look bad, he doesn't seem to bother trying to explain himself. It's a little odd. But I like it, because obviously it drags out the slow burn.
I loved all of the characters and the depths to them. I can't wait to read the next one.
