A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

4.0

This book marked the point where I caught up to the show. Originally I had planned to stop reading so as not to spoil any of the show, but I immediately started book four. I'm totally hooked on all the characters and can't wait to see how their plot lines develop. Having watched the show, this is also the book where things start to veer off in terms of narrative and sequence, but in the best possible way. You learn a lot more about minor characters and about the main characters' motivations. Great stuff, and still very accessible.
