A literary and emotional roller coaster. What began, I thought, as a fun read quickly turned into so much more. I couldn't wait to read the next word. It has been quite a while since a book has occupied my nightstand with the sole purpose of being read as soon as the sleep cleared from my eyes. Or carried with me everywhere.

Rio had me invested in her characters 110% almost immediately. Loving characters in one scene, only to despise them in the next, and yet flip once again. And sometimes, love and despise at the same time. Meredith confirming her greatest fear. Leading me to think of her as just a pretty face and using sex to get what she wants. Amd ultimately blindsiding me with her compassion and understanding as she welcomes Oliver "home".

Filippo and Camilo??? I think I will go back to Thanksgiving of fourth year. Like Oliver, I completely missed it if it was there.

I deeply hope for Oliver's sake that James has been strong enough and patient enough to have pulled off a great disappearing act. In my mind, I believe he has. I believe we should have to ask Fillipa. She, if anyone, would know.

I have not read or even thought of Shakespeare in many years, but Rio (and this story) has greatly reignited that interest.

In my humble opinion, a tragedy worthy of the bard.
