3.5
This took me a week to read.. i normally read books in a day or two. The first two books in the series were great! I put them at 4.5 stars. I loved aren & Lara.
Keris & Zarrah are lovely. But the story felt like it was dragging. There was so much extra filler that I just felt bored. I kept putting the book down instead of picking it up.
The spice was great and I loved seeing their POVs of the first books. But i think this would have been a better series if all 4 POVs were in the first two books. I would have rather tandem read this with the first two books than read it third. Knowing what already happens by book three was just a little awkward.
I enjoyed the characters a lot and their povs. It was overall very enjoyable once i got to 150 pages left. That’s where the pace was picked up and more enjoyable.
The end had a great plot twist that i wasn’t expecting but I knew the person was actually a villain!
