I feel bamboozled

I picked up this book thinking I was gonna get a brown girl lead turns out it’s a white girl with a spray tan and like nothing wrong with tanning but the cover is not it my guy.

Beyond that the story was alright but I was kind of tired of seeing everyone tell Olivia she needed to change and forgive when no one besides her sister was meeting her half way. She was right when she said she was the child and the youngest why was it her responsibility to understand and mend bridges??

On the topic of her sister why was she friends with such horrible girls besides Lara? They literally belittled and mocked her little sister with mean spirit if anyone did that to my sister they would’ve had to catch these mf hands not be my brides maids and MOH.

Now on to the love interest... I didn’t see it. Michael and Olivia had some cute moments for sure but I couldn’t get over how they met when he was in college and she was in high school like... girl... you’re a victim lol. Why oh why was he in college at a college party and having romantic thoughts for his friends high school aged little sister???? And in the present he said and did some hurtful things both in front of and behind Olivias back I personally would not have let go. The few cute moments they had together do not detract from the issues listed here.

Over all this was an okay read but I did skip around to see when the cringe fest would end.
