Holding the Reins by Paisley Hope

5.0

After seeing that this one was going to feature a small town, hockey AND cowboys I knew there was no way I wasn’t going to enjoy it and I was boy oh boy, was I right. The fact that this is Paisley Hope’s debut novel is insane, it was so incredibly good! The story was well written, it was fast paced without seeming rushed and there was the perfect amount of emotion tied in with Nash’s past while still remaining lighthearted. I loved all of the characters (except Andrew, obviously because f that guy), and the spice..ooof…that “crawl to me, baby” moment will be living rent free in my head for the rest of eternity.

I have said this before and I will say it again, side characters can easily make or break a book for me and the Charlie’s Not Angels and the Ashby brother’s were so entertaining, I cannot wait to see who and what is next to come in the Silver Pines series!
