I loved this book. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys stories about survival and love BUT be prepared to cry a lot. It made me a feel a lot of things fear, sorrow, anxiety, and especially longing.
The longing for adventure and freedom and the wild. It spoke to me so much as a person who desperately wants to move to an area like this.
**SPOILERS BELOW**
It also hit home for me as someone who witnessed her mother in bad relationships and I liked the way Cora was written. I'm very happy she finally drew a line and put two bullets in him when he came after Leni.
When Matthew told Leni that her letters were how he learned to read again my heart exploded. There entire bond was over reading and then she gave that back to him.
