I really enjoyed this book! It's a fast read and very easy to digest.

My Lucky #13 is about Aiden Drake, a professional hockey player who came from nothing to secure his place as captain. Never one to believe in superstitions, he took on jersey #13 to prove he brought his own luck. After a spat of bad games, he begins to question himself until he meets Saige, a social media manager and his agent's date. When his luck starts to change, he knows what he needs to do: convince her to stick around and help keep his lucky streak going.

Aiden and Saige have a slow build relationship, the two forming a really cute friendship even if feelings are underlying. The ways they can speak to each other and help the other out sets a really good foundation.
I really wish the scene of Aiden confronting her about the lie of her and joran still being a thing was longer, the break in trust when he had never been anything but 100% up front would have stung a lot more. I could understand having pissed off sex but the forgiveness coming so easy when he had every right to be hurt and annoyed broke a bit of the realism for me

I know nothing about hockey but the travelling, short notice of changes and the tension of trade day building was very realistic of the sports I do know, so I enjoyed that. Aiden doing everything he can to keep his spot, falling into superstitions and rituals to make sure he kept his position really showed how meaningful his career was to him. There wasn't all the much about Saige's career, other than her hanging out with Aiden and one mention of her going to a different city. I would have liked her focus not solely be on Aiden and actually highlight how serious she was about her own business.

There was some very good smutty scenes in this. Well written and realistic without being too vulgar or unnecessary.
