FINALLY! THE BOOK THAT CONVINCED ME TO READ THIS WHOLE SERIES, AND ALL TO THE GRAND LEAD UP TO BABY BRAINS BOOK! RANGER REYNOLDS! WOO! If you’re a fan of, Spencer Reid from, “Criminal Minds”, Ranger was basically Spencer! The story revolved around our resident brainiac who was equal parts shy, awkward, and wholesome! When romance author, Sydney Ward needed to escape the turmoil from her life she went to Wisdom, Wyoming, and happened to rent the apartment that Ranger owned. A romance author and an inexperienced, highly intelligent man made for some intriguing moments and definitely swoon worthy moments as well! Dr. Rebecca  Sharp continued to amaze me, and with this book she truly did justice in giving our own Spencer Reid inspired character a happy ending! 

I’m not even surprised that within the first few chapters I was already LOVING THIS BOOK! I always love reading stories in dual point of views, but especially getting to hear inside Ranger’s head was eye opening and gave me a better understanding of how he felt in regards to everything. Ranger has always been that character that I loved without fully getting his background story. With each book I read within the series, I was mostly excited for Ranger’s book, and getting to see the depths of who Ranger was at his core. Not to mention getting to see the romance between him and Sydney was equally satisfying! The fact that Sydney was a romance author was amazing, but also she was speaking of what we love in our book boyfriends, and creating stories that if her books were real, I would read them. Sydney and Ranger already had me jittery with excitement about their story together! 

Never have I ever read a first kiss scene like the way that Ranger and Sydney had because, OMG THAT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD! Got my heart beat rising and that was just the first kiss?! Ahhhh! My precious Ranger quickly learned that not everything could be explained with facts, but learned to embrace feeling the new sensations he had never experienced for, and once again through his point of view it just highlighted how endearing he’s always been, but also it was HOT SEEING HIS REACTIONS!

While this story was basically an absolute dream to read with it being about Ranger, it was also lovely in reading about Sydney. Sydney’s outlook on love, and relationships changed when she found out her fiancé had been cheating on her. In addition, by killing off her main character in her books that was heavily inspired by her ex fiancé, Sydney felt like she had no one her in corner to protect her. Going to Wisdom was the best thing for Sydney to get away from all the negativity in the city, and most importantly work on her mental health and well being. I loved that Sydney was a romance author, but most importantly how she learned to find her center again. I also loved seeing the book club in Wisdom welcoming Sydney with open arms, and showing her that there were still people who supported her and her stories. Plus, with Ranger by her side, Sydney was able to see that it was ok to ask for help. Sydney was use to creating romance that had passion, swoon worthy gestures, and more in her stories, but for the first time in her life, she actually experienced what it felt like to have someone protect her, comfort her, cherish her wholeheartedly, and overall feel safe, which is what Ranger showed her. 

DID SOMEBODY SAY…MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE?! Because THIS BOOK HAD IT! I’m going to keep repeating myself, but I LOVE RANGER! Imagine being with Ranger, that’d be amazing right? Now, IMAGINE BEING MARRIED TO HIM! OMG YAY! Luckily, Sydney got the honor to do so… at least in the beginning it was for her both her safety and for her career. At first, I wasn’t sure how the marriage of convenience was going to tie into the story, but when it finally did appear, it actually worked out. In marrying Ranger, Sydney let the public believe she had found her happily ever after while simultaneously letting the person after her believe she had a husband who could potentially take away some of the attention off of Sydney. In a way, it was a bit of a risk, but let’s be real both Sydney and Ranger were secretly loving the marriage. Introducing the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds! 

DO NOT BE DECEIVED FOR OUR RESIDENT BABY BRAINS WAS INDEED A BEAST IN THE BEDROOM! You would think that someone who’s inexperienced wouldn’t necessarily know what to do when it comes to sex and being intimate, but Ranger and clear attention to detail worked to his advantage. The way that Ranger picked up on the smallest cues on what Sydney liked when they got intimate was SO FREAKING HOT! Not to mention, the way Ranger was reciting facts during these spicy scenes actually were not to me too! Like, all of a sudden if Ranger were to tell me facts in that kind of context…I’d be an instant puddle! No joke, this was the spiciest book in the series and I was EATING IT ALL UP! Ranger was the man who was not only protective, but also wanted to MAKE HIS WIFE HAPPY BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE BEDROOM! Again, IT WAS SO DAMN SEXY OOOOOO! RANGER GOT ME ALL HOT AND BOTHERED NOW!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST BOOK EVER IN THIS SERIES! I knew from the moment I heard about this book, it was going to be my favorite! Ranger’s story was my most anticipated read, and I’m so happy I finally got to immerse myself in this wonderful book! Ranger was so much more than an intelligent man, he was wholesome, endearing, caring, protective, and willing to help others especially his loved ones. I loved getting to see Ranger on his own, and more importantly show his older brothers that while he was the youngest (within the brothers), he was fully capable of taking care of himself, and doing things just as they could within their line of work. Sydney was equally amazing, and I adored seeing her work her way through finding happiness despite the horrible circumstances she was faced with. This was probably the spiciest book within the series, and I will forever be unable to forget Ranger’s phenomenal knowledge in memory and utilizing his use of anatomy for the greater good for Sydney! My precious, sweet, loving Ranger was everything and more than my expectations could have imagined! I didn’t want to put this book down, all I wanted was to stay within the world of this story. I’m really glad I read all the books in this series as it came full circle especially in the bonus epilogue, getting to see how each sibling found love, their own families, and seeing the growth over the course of years. Bittersweet having finished reading Ranger and Sydney’s story, but I will forever think about them, and best believe I’ll be rereading this book whenever I have the chance! I have nothing but high praise for this book! Dr. Rebecca Sharp truly did justice in giving us the Spencer Reid story we all wanted, and more!
