Some parts didn't age well at all, but some parts are still fucking incredible and moving. A fun thing to do is to pull up every song mentioned in lyrics or by title as you listen along, like a curated Animal Man mixtape. Coyote Gospel, the Peyote trip, the subplot with Psycho Pirate's Crisis, Issues #25 and #26, I'll be thinking about these in particular for a long time. This was a truly incredible work and this was Morrison's FIRST story in capes, if you can believe it!
