This is a reread. I first read it in the tandem read, and rereading the series I didn’t do the tandem read. I feel that I had a better grip on the plot and details without the tandem read, but I feel like the culture/world building is juxtaposed to EOS in an interesting way when doing tandem. I really like this book, it has something for everyone. Emotional self-love/forgiveness journey, two differently paced love stories, political intrigue, a mystery, girl bossery and feminine rage, truth bombs, battle scenes, hope, I mean literally everything. Only half a star off because I don’t like the way
Yrene’s healing of the valg in Duva and the valg leftovers in chaol is described. Why did it take a month and bloody noses etc to heal a little bit in him but just a few minutes to heal a whole valg princess in Duva??
