All my friends said the this was their favourite book in the whole series but it was kind of disappointing. Nothing eventful happened. They all basically traveled in a giant circle. From the Castle to the Badlands back to the Port and then to the Castle again.
The whole Milo Banda thing was also incredibly pointless.
I've come to hate Jenna on a subconscious level. I just wish she would drop dead with her annoying prissy attitude. I completely support Simon in his opinion of Jenna. I also have come to dislike Aunt Zelda - Especially when Marcia is trying to save the Dragon Boat. The whole Young Queen; Keeper; Dragon Master Transubstantiation Triple Spell was incredibly cliche like - OH THEY ARE THE CHOSEN ONES AND THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN PULL IT OFF WOW!!!. The whole Imprinting of Sep by Spit Fyre - Also highly cliched. It would be more interesting if say Nico or Marcia was Imprinted. DomDaniel and Simon's plot was also really stupid. Like - If DomDaniel wanted Jenna GONE FOR GOOD (GOTTEN RID OF) then why didn't Simon just kill her when he took her from the Castle? How simple would it have been to stick a kinfe square in her chest!??!?!
Septimus is a good main character. He's not as dense as many others. Marcia is my favourite character. I hope that in the future books, Septimus doesn't accumulate so much power that it becomes unrealistic. I understand the whole Seventh of the Seventh thing but it would be much better if it wasn't cliched like when the main character would get all the power to coincidentally beat the enemy.
