The Great Good Thing by Roderick Townley

4.0

This was a sweet little book that I picked up on a whim. A very quick read. It tells the story of Sylvie, who whiles away her days waiting for a Reader to come and read her story. Finally, she gets a Reader, but she soon discovers that there is a world beyond her story and she sets out to explore. Of course, chaos ensues. It's interesting to think of the characters of your books as sentient and waiting for you to read their story so they can act it out. Enjoyable and a lovely ending.
