The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas

4.0

I read this first in the series. I’m kind of sad because now I know what happened to Sam BUT I’ve heard it’s better to read this first for context while reading the next few books so I’m sure there’s no good answer on how to do it.

The first two novellas were slow and didn’t entice me too much, but once I got to the desert I was IN IT. I’m sad with Celaena for being so blind to Arobynn. How can she not see after all the bad shit he does to her that he is the bad guy in her story? I think it’s a fantom fatherly love towards him.

I was elated when Sam professed his love and they got together and then devastated when he died before they even had a chance to live.

Celaena better be exacting revenge. I need it like I need oxygen.
