So proud of myself for having read a whole novel in French! Read it for a book club. Found myself getting really worked up by parts of the novel, which I think speaks to its emotional power. I think it's a little bit too close to having perfectly good/perfectly evil characters for my taste, which is why I didn't give it a perfect score. But generally very good.
