Fourth Wing is like if someone took Eragon, The Priory of the Orange Tree, An Ember in the Ashes, and A Court of Mist and Fury and threw them in the blender.
World building was interesting, although a bit obvious in the beginning. I was invested in cheering Violet on from the start, and although I guessed a few of the twists and major story points, the plot was engaging and kept me hooked. Great start to The Empryean series.
