Review:
Blind Side by Kandi Steiner is a fun, spicy sports romance that kept me entertained. Giana is sweet, quirky, and incredibly relatable, and I really enjoyed watching her navigate the ups and downs of her fake dating arrangement with Clay. Clay himself was a standout—his character arc, realizing how toxic his previous relationship with Maliyah was and recognizing that he deserves someone like Giana, was satisfying and well done.
I loved the PR/college sports element, which added a nice layer to their story. The romance was undeniably steamy, though the book is a bit forgettable overall—it didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by its hype.
The third-act conflict, involving Maliyah’s dad bribing Clay to break things off and get back with Maliyah, felt somewhat unrealistic. There were several other ways he could have handled it—pretending to break up but telling Giana the truth, for example—so that part felt forced .
That said, the chemistry between Giana and Clay, their growth as individuals, and the emotional payoff made it a good read overall. I’m looking forward to continuing the series and seeing what comes next.
