I didn't make it 20% of the way into this book before I started texting every single reader I know. This is brilliant and everyone needs to read it. If you loved Lessons in Chemistry you will love this book.

At no point during the reading of this book did my chest not hurt. Sometimes you burn with rage, others with longing, others with shame, and still others with the pain of self censorship and repression. This book connects with something deep and ancestral in all of us in a way nothing else I have ever read has. I feel like you can't talk too much about the plot without giving everything away, but women become dragons and the world is misogynistic. It goes both exactly how you would expect and in no ways you would have predicted. If you're on the fence, leap in. It's so so so worth it.
