Reading this book about writing stirs in me a fat crush for the written word. I also really enjoyed Chee’s writing — this is my first Chee and I’m looking forward to more. Something about Chee’s writing, I don’t know how to articulate how to distinguish it but it has a way of pulling me into topics I didn’t think I cared much about, like the gardening essay.
