Please read this review instead of the book.
I would love to be able to say that the fact that something so racist, homophobic and ableist could be published is a surprise to me, but then publishing loves to show constantly that it doesn't care about marginalized people at all, so no big surprise here.
We also don't need more books with abusive Love Interests or white savior types who are just poor and misguided in their racism. LGBT+ People's pain is not a learning moment for straight people! People of Color's pain is not a learning moment for white people! Disabled people's pain is not for able-bodied and neurotypical people to learn from! Our pain is not a cheap plot device so you can write your ~misguided~ heroine who finally learns and grows to be a better person uwu. Stop with this crap.
