Super cute! My favorite part was definitely the banter between Gus and January, and the Jack Reacher references lol. Side characters were a little too “I’m a side character in a hallmark movie!” imo. I may be a little harsh bc I’ve been reading too many romances lately, but the “will-they-won’t-they” got a bit silly too; I think it could have been paced a little better (like…. Gus would have to be a total buffoon to not realize he needed to send a quick explanatory text every time something dumb happened.) However I DID cry a lil bit in the letter-reading chapter so bonus points for that.
Editing this because I just remembered how Gus’s hands were described as “rough and calloused” like 800 times; what?? He’s a writer lol he types on a computer all day
