House Of Salt And Sorrows
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don’t know what to say. This was so good!
The slow start was so uninteresting for me, but I really started to enjoy it further on. I was settling my thoughts on a 3 star rating for this book, but the ending made me change my mind.
It overpowered my dislike for the slowness and the parts I didn’t like, such as the craziness of it all.
There were so many twists and I only imagined there would be one; the reveal of the murderer. I guessed Fisher at first, after reading of Edgar falling from the second store window. I was so sure everything would be over after Cassius and Annaleigh was on the Old Maude lighthouse and discovered Fishers body and Kosamaras game, but no, everything had just started!
I liked the theme was the sea and gods and goddesses, it was so interesting to read about their way of living when they believed in such things!
I really enjoyed this and I love the way I can connect with having two little sisters of my own, and the fact that I’ve been living by the sea my whole life.
And I almost forgot to mention, it was so weird following Annaleigh as the main character, taking into a count the fact that my name is pronounced the same way, but spelled differently because of my language.
I hope I’ll get to discover books such as this once more, and hopefully I’ll be in the mood for it as I was with this!
