A Witch Alone (the Apprentice Witch #2), Volume 2 by James Nicol

5.0

I’m a little upset it took me years to finally pick up this series again, but I’m happy I did. It’s such a comfort to find a story about witches that, yes, has the world in the poor MC’s shoulders, isn’t bogged down by that threat and focuses more on the small day to day issues that will lead up to that final climax.
I’m also upset at myself a bit because I picked up the first book as an audio book to help me while driving back and forth to school. I didn’t realize that there were things that I missed out on.
Third disappointment is that my local library doesn’t have a copy of the third book! I have sent in a request to put it in their collection, but I’m tempted to just buy the final book myself and not have to wait another handful of years before I find out what happens.

Either way, I enjoyed this book very much and can’t wait to see how the series ends for Wyn.
