The Toll
by Neal Shusterman
Man this book was a whirlwind start to finish.
I honestly don't think there was a single chapter where I wasn't on my toes to read the next one. It became chaotic at a point because there were so many different storylines you were trying to remember and piece the connections between them, but that was the only thing that made it 4 stars. I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, it felt a little rushed, but also not rushed at the same time?
I will say though, I miss Scythe Curie. I wish she could have been brought into this book in some way. Man I'm still reeling from how it all played out though. I called it from the beginning that Goddard was going to become some fascist ruler, but I'm pleased to see in the end that Tyger was brought back and Goddard gone for good.
mmm I will say nothing else other than I want Citra and Rowan live happy lives together on their new planet, and Greyson and Jeri a good life too. I love these characters booooo
anyways read it
