This book is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I'm well past high school, but the main character's struggles with loneliness, isolation, and friendship really resonated with past and current me. The concept was terribly engaging, the characters are well developed, and the humor is pretty good to boot. Plus, I always love a fantasy book starring a character of color.
