Making Wishes at Bay View by Jessica Redland

3.0

I’ve grown to really like Jessica Redland’s writings. They are the right amount of cute, with some real world mental health topics, and wrap everything up in a nice bow by the end. While some of her books are super light, quick happy reads, others are a bit heavier in the drama and a bit more heart wrenching at times. This book falls into the second category. High in the drama and toxic characters. While the main character wasn’t my favorite flavor for a main character she did stay true to herself. Always reaching out a hand to those in need. While at times it felt like she was just being naive to the ways of the world, she actually was just being a good person by not giving up on those who truly needed her. I can respect that. While this wasn’t one of my favorites of Redland’s books it was still very cute.
