I’m very much in my Roman History era as I approach 32. This is good! It covers about 1000 years from Rome’s humble (mythological) beginnings all the way to the tumultuous 3rd century CE, focusing on Rome as a whole rather than just the most important figures. It’s still pop history but it feels substantive and I know more after reading so mission accomplished.
