Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
2.0

I really didn't think I was going to like this book before I started it. The only reason why I read it is because my best friend who hates to read has read all three of them and then gifted them to me. That was as good of reason as any to jump on the bandwagon.

I didn't think it was amazing but it held my attention enough to have me finish it. I really wanted to know what was going to happen with Ana. That said, Christian is a weirdo (and not because of his sexual preferences) and I didn't really care for him.

I didn't think the writing style was all that good but again I finished it. Usually when I think something is crap I don't finish it.

If you're reading it for smut there is plenty. So much so that it gets tiring. I'll continue the series since I have them and the first one wasn't terrible.

Regardless, I can see the appeal it has for so many people. It's easy to read, its a page turner, and it has a bunch of smut in it.
