This is like the Handmaid’s Tale of motherhood. Absolutely gutting and infuriating. It was so well written - I couldn’t put it down. However, I have to mimic another review in that it’s too tragic for 5 stars (that may not be fair but I don’t even know if I can say I liked it). I would not recommend to anyone (especially a parent) feeling fragile at the moment.
Graphic: Sexism, Grief, Suicidal thoughts, Emotional abuse, Abandonment, Suicide attempt, Suicide, and Self harm
Moderate: Child abuse and Death
