natatouille 's review for:
Tin Man
by Sarah Winman
And I wonder what the sound of a heart breaking might be. And I think it might be quiet, unperceptively so, and not dramatic at all. Like the sound of an exhausted swallow falling gently to the earth.
This book held so much in such a short space. It was simple, yet so expansive. It was a really beautiful read about life, love, friendship, desire, heartache, loss, and hope. I'm sure I missed some descriptors there, but no matter. If you want a book to kind of punch you in the heart but then give you a helping hand up, read this one.
