Most of the book is excruciatingly slow only to pick up pace in last 50-80 pages.
The language is obscene for its time but it can still come across shocking even now. I didn’t enjoy the derby accent of gamekeeper , it seemed unnecessary. Overall it’s a classic but I would recommend staying away if someone gets triggered by detailed sexual word and references.
