When You're Ready: A Love Story by Kareem Rosser, Kareem Rosser

3.0

Nothing against the book itself, I just didn't connect to this second memoir as much as the first. I think it was because the stories I enjoyed reading in his first book (getting into riding, growing up in West Philly, etc.) were mostly absent in this one, since that wasn't his focus for this book. The story in this memoir is still worth reading if you're a Rosser fan -- it's heartfelt and sad and I thought he told Lee Lee's story with justice.
