Scandal in Skibbereen by Sheila Connolly

5.0

I love how I can travel without using gas, frequent flyer miles, etc...I only need a book. With Sheila Connolly's County Cork mystery series, I travel to the neat village of Leap in Ireland.
I do love the characters, the village, the area, the premise. How cool would it be to be like Maura who finds herself with a home and pub in Ireland? She's settling in, though still deciding if she wants to stay. There are plenty of people who would like her to and some who would like to see her maybe gone.
I had a bit of an issue with the brash American on the hunt for a missing painting. How she came to find this particular village was a bit sketchy, but I went with it. I might have missed seeing how it came about. All of the action through the rest of the book more than made up for that bit. I liked seeing life in small village Ireland. I'd love to visit. Until then I will visit via this series.
I can definitely recommend this book, series and author.
