“You know why Baptists don’t fuck standin’ up?” Dill asked.
“Tell me.”
“They’re afraid somebody might think they’re dancin’.”

Hind looked at him for a couple of seconds and said, “Mama Z. Mama Z makes me nervous.”
“Oh yeah?”
“There’s something going on. I get that she doesn’t trust me ​because I’m FBI. Hell, I don’t trust FBI agents. But there’s something else. It was like she was trying to tell me something. Or was expecting me to know something.” 
“She’s over a hundred years old,” Ed said.
“So?”
“She’s seen a lot. It might be hard for folks like us to read her. There are a lot of wrinkles there.”
