Bag of Bones by Stephen King

5.0

This was a fantastic read start to finish. A grieving man is haunted by dreams that draw him back to a place he hasn't been in several years, and that place contains spirits that will not rest.

King crafted well-developed characters, particularly the main character. They act, think, and behave as real humans do. The plot unraveled in a deliciously creeping way that kept me turning page after page, and not wanting to put the book down. I was living those events just as much as Michael Noonan was. I felt the tension in the air, the looks of the townfolks, the inevitability of the events drawing the characters towards the conclusion. It was a fantastic ride.
