I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
5.0
dark funny reflective sad fast-paced

A fantastic book from start to finish. Jennette recounts her life from childhood through adulthood in visceral detail where I often felt as if I were right alongside her or experiencing the same feeling she was. I was originally unsure if this would be a read for me as it’s clearly heavy content and I generally only read fiction. However, this is such an enthralling and thoughtful memoir reflecting on what fame can do to child actors and the effects our parents have on us throughout our lives. If you can get it, I highly encourage the audiobook to hear Jennette share her experience directly!
