I found this book very unpredictable. 

Parts I did not enjoy:

• The nature of the sex fantasies
• The unhinged and obsessive behaviour 
• The vagueness around the main character's job 

Parts I enjoyed:

• The conversations about menopause with other women 
• The descriptions of the room
• The alternative marriage arrangement (but I don't think this book really normalises it because the main character doesn't really act normal)
