This book somehow kept my attention even though I spent a huge portion of it feeling anger or disgust. My stomach was sour and I had to stop listening multiple times from how uncomfortable it made me, but I continued reading bc I figured it would have to get better. 
I'll be reading the next book, hopefully it's a bit easier to stomach.

the FMC and King Midas met while she was under age. She describes the story of how they met and came to be together. They have sex while she is under age and he is an adult. It is not a super detailed description of what happens

toward the end, there is on page SA and rape of a secondary character while the FMC is forced to be in the room and watch. It is fairly graphic and intense.
