Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

“I never thought I’d be stood here faced with a choice I can’t make, because I never… I never imagined you would love me back.”
- Casey Mcquiston, Red, White & Royal Blue

There was so much hyped around this book and I am so happy that it lived up to that hype. First, I really loved how the story plays out. Throughout the book it left me with so many questions. As I continue reading it, it slowly got answered. That is why I love this book; it did not leave me with unanswered questions, it also wrapped everything up neatly. In addition to that, I really love the writing style of this book. The way the story of Prince Henry and Alex was being narrated was smooth. We could see the depth of the character and their emotions. I honestly do not have the right words to describe how beautiful and perfect this book is, I just absolutely love it. I would also like to say how well written each character are, I love how they support/push the main characters to do certain things. Like telling them the truth instead of white lies. I just love how honest and supportive the other characters are towards our main characters. Second, the way the heart-warming scenes are written would definitely make you cry. As what I have said earlier, I just love how supportive everyone is in this book. It really radiates positive energy. Reading this book just pinned a smile on my face for the entirety of the book. Even when I am not reading it, I just cannot stop thinking about it. It kept appearing in my dreams when I did not pick it up for the day (I guess you could say it was haunting me. LOL) Overall, this became one of my favorite books and definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. I would absolutely rate 10/5 stars. It really lived up to my expectation I would definitely recommend this book to people.
