coming to this book i knew all of its twists and turns after years of listening people talking about it, i was fearful of what i would find.
reading it and experiencing it by myself (while i can understand why many people found it lacking or frustrating) i can safely say that is easily one of the easiest five stars i have ever gave. circe's journey weaved by madeline miller is sad, tragic, magical, frustrating, but in between all that its hopeful. circe took agency and reclaimed her own life by her own methods, and that in itself is the essence of the mythological character; i will always sherish this spin miller gave to her legend; its obvious the love, fascination and understanding she has for her, as it comes out of every single word of her terrific prose.
