To Be or Not To Be: A Chooseable-Path Adventure by Ryan North
4.0
4.5 / 5.0
This is a super fun read. I picked this up after reading The Starless Sea, because choose your own adventure books were so much fun when I was growing up. Some of the first “chapter” books I ever read were choose your own adventure I’m the 80s. Now that I’ve sufficiently dated myself, I want to say this has elements of that same ensign structure but with a more adult content.
I especially liked the breakdown of Shakespeare’s source material and that North really goes all out in his creation of alternate endings. I read through several before calling it quits and enjoyed the randomness and hyperbole of each alternative ending.
Until Next Time,
MC
