I enjoyed this book. Great banter and the reluctant allies to lovers trope (it didn't feel like enemies to lovers for me) was entertaining. High stakes and cool complex magic which was great. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle. But the reveal at the end hooked me. Very excited that it is a duology and definitely will read book two. Definitely recommend the audiobook, it is dual narration and Lindsey & Will did an amazing job with accents.
