So I'm not 100% sure about the rating but I just finished listening to the audio book for this and really enjoyed it.
This is the continuation of This Savage Song, the after effects of what happened in the first book. A new issue along with old problems coming back to haunt our characters.
Honestly there were a few times that I was a little bored with what was going on, a little eager to "move on with it" but those thoughts didn't last long before things picked up and I was once again engaged in the story.
I think my only issue with the series is that it is YA, and although that didn't make the book any less interesting I just feel like it could have been even more if it wasn't YA (but at the same time I don't read a lot of adult fantasy so what do I know).
I was so sad to have his sister taken away from us two times in this dang series. I really liked her character and sort of wish she survived. Same with Kate, although I really liked the way she did die, how poetic it seemed to be, how fitting it all was.
I personally really liked the ending, it makes me think.
