Listened to the audiobook for this one, which maybe worked better than reading the book, if the reviews are any indication. I thought this was a good novel with plenty to think about. It would make a good (but probably contentious) book club book. There's a lot to analyze in the characters. While I was looking forward to the rich white people drama the beginning foreshadowed, I didn't anticipate the major plot twist. It was an unpleasant subject, so it turned into a pretty intense book. Difficult to read as a parent, but also as good a book as any I've read about characters who probably think they're great people failing themselves at every turn.
