I read this on a whim over the weekend, hoping it would combine Coelho's search for self with some history and travelogue. To answer my hope: it's a whole lot of search for self and not enough history or travelogue for me. Coelho continues to be his meandering spiritual self, exploring "self" from the perspective of several different interesting characters. It's lovely and very "Coelho" but not what I was looking for (spoiler alert: Kathmandu does not feature in the text at all).
