God of Pain by Rina Kent

5.0

One thing that brings me pride and joy as a reader is that i found Rina Kent. I have a lot of favorite authors; Rina is amongst my top five, and that says a lot. I swear she never disappoints, her writing is absolutely out of this word, and her plot twists are A WORK OF ART.

God of Pain is the second book in the Legacy of Gods series, and it tells the story of Annika and Creighton. They are total opposites, but one thing we know about opposites is that they attract lol.

Annika is a a true mafia princess, she was born and raised in a gilded cage. Because of who her father is and the rank he holds in the Bratva she is considered his weakness that's why she was always shielded from the outside world. When an opportunity comes to get a little bit of freedom, she takes it. But what she did no see coming was the mysterious man who does not speak more than two word with her.

Creighton is a man of few words. LITERALLY. He likes very few people in his life along with his food and sleep. Everyone mistakes his quietness as his way of staying away from people, but in truth he battles demons no one knows about. until one little miss came along and disturbed his peace. And now he wants her.

This book was nothing short of a masterpiece. From the very fist chapter i was completely and totally captivated. The romance and the spice were chef's kiss, but it's the plot twist that was absolutely spectacular. I said this before and I'll say it again Rina Kent is the Goddess of plot twist hands down. And then there was the other characters; i swear i can't pick a favorite because that's IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!! They are the best group of friends ever. Then we were hit with a wave of nostalgia whenever a character from the past was mentioned, my husband Adrian, Aiden, Lia, Elsa, Daddy Johnathan, Ethan and Agnus. ALL IN ONE BOOK!!!!

This book deserves more than one star because it was a masterpiece. One more thing, if there was an award for the best brother of the year, Eli wound be the winner. The way he loves and cares for Creighton melts my heart. If he is this much protective and affectionate with his own brother, i can't wait to see him with Ava.

that being said; read this book NOW!!
