This book felt like what you want to read on a rainy day with pastries, a cozy blanket and tea.
I really enjoyed this book because it was witty, slow, and nostalgic. If this book was written in present day it’d be creepalicious but it being the 90s gave it the innocence that I needed to simply enjoy the story.
I almost gave it three stars at the end when Beth and her boyfriend break up because I dislike it when characters end up together as a result of convenience… “You’re single now, I am single now, let’s end up together!” Ughhh so unoriginal! BUT! the author did a good job at inserting space and obstacles in between them getting together so that it didn’t feel so predictable.
