Overall the story felt forced and unnecessary the kid was cleared 1/3 of the way through and that felt like that should be the end of it. It also seemed like the police would have caught the right guy in the end. They kept working in the background and had most of the information that Lana had and she just kept getting in the way. Honestly surprised they didn't arrest her for impeding an investigation, withholding or tampering with evidence. also I was let down by the typical bad guy monologue that reveals everything. Ugh, why play it smart the whole book only to word vomit a confession to the every character in a three mile radius in the end? I also found it a bit boring but it's a cozy mystery so I suppose that's the point.
